Sometimes I wish I could tape myself to a kite

You could hold the end of the string
Just keep on running, baby
We’ll keep on going ‘till these summer winds
Die down and once again
I can get back down to the green green grass
Where we used to walk home from your house
Your smells still soaking my skin
Along with your sweat
I’ll walk this field forever
Retracing your footsteps in the dirt
Where have you been
The kids playing hopscotch need a plus one
You always minus yourself from situations you can’t handle
I’ll just keep multiplying the nights I’ve spent thinking about you
Divide by the constant worry my mind suffers
Give me convincing evidence that I’m good enough, Dr Watson
Luck is just a heir to misfortune
It seems to just roam around like the black cat under my porch
Here, kitty kitty.
